Alter Bridge News 02/17/09 - Mark and Myles in California
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
Last weekend’s acoustic shows in Texas that Mark and Myles did for radio to promote Watch Over You was a great success. For example, here is a link to some pictures of the event done with KLTG in Corpus Christi…

We learned that after the KHMX event in Houston at the House of Blues, Robert Roux, Regional Vice-President for Live Nation, stated, “You really have to have great songs and a ton of talent to take a huge repertoire of arena rock songs and have them still come across just as powerfully when done acoustically, and these guys pulled it off as well as anyone I have seen.”
We’d like to thank Robert for his kind words and we would also like to thank all those at KHKZ, KVLY and all the fans who came to see us play. In fact, we had such a great time, we are going to do it again in California. Here is the breakdown…
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009
Mark and Myles will play an acoustic set in Modesto, CA at the KOSO Fat Tuesday event. Contact KOSO for more info. Doors are at 6:ooPM.
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009
Mark and Myles will play an acoustic set in Santa Rosa, CA for KMHX in the After Work Lounge and the fans will get to meet and greet with Mark and Myles after the performance. This will take place around 6:00PM. Contact KMHX for more details.
In other news, the editing process continues with our live DVD and we are now shooting for a late April release. That is assuming everything goes as planned, which rarely happens, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed and keep you updated.
Also, the writing continues on our next album, “Alter Bridge III” (working title), and we made some good progress in the week leading up to those Texas shows. We are taking a short break right now but Myles will be back down in Florida soon and we will get right back to it.
And lastly, feel free to call up your local radio station to request Watch Over You. New stations across the USA are picking it up every week and it is still rising up the charts. Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing some of you in California later this month.
Keep rocking,
Alter Bridge
