Regarding the Recent News
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
In light of the recent news that is circulating, we thought we would calm some of your fears. There are three main things we want you to know…
1) We have absolutely no plans to break up. Alter Bridge forever!
2) We have a live DVD coming out this summer and then in 2010 we will be back with a vengeance with a new album and a world tour.
3) All four of us are still brothers in music and there is no discord between us.

Thank God you guys are not splitting up!! I wish there wasa way I could tangibly show you how much your music has chaged my life; I was on a path full of drinking and drugs, but your music spoke to me and reminded me that I could change and that I didn’t have to be spiraling down forever. Thank you again so much guys, God bless you all!! Oh, and if you ever get a chance to come back to the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO, I saw you guys there and it was amazing, would love to see you again!

WOW , What a scare, even though I always have enjoyed Creed, Alterbridge changed everything where Alterbridge is my all time favorite band with Miles Kennedy’s voice the perfect instrument to compliment to the band. I was able to see your show in Lincoln, NE and it was AWESOME!

You guys have not been to Phoenix since November 2007, and will be back in 2010…. 3 years gap between concerts here in Arizona is TOOOOO LOOOOONG. I have been having withdrawals, you guys. If I had my way you’d be touring every single year, but… alas, that cannot be done I suppose.
It was really cool to finally meet all of you back in Nov of 07 at the Marquee in Tempe. Totally unexpected and was a real treat. Looking forward to the new material– there is no such thing as a lame or boring song from you guys, everything rocks hard no matter what!

I am so glad that ya’ll get along and make music. The band rocks and for the longest time i did not even know that this was the band formally named Creed minus Myles. Myles your voice rocks dude. THis band is so excellent . I am priviliged to know of you and listen to you often, I am 46 years old female snd I play the guitar and have a musical back ground. I know talent when I hear it.,Keep Rocking your my favorite metal band. Please continue to do what you do so well . Thank you. You have given me and those that agree with me the best music by two groups. To be able to hear the music of Creed and Alter Bridge is a wonderful tone to the ear. I wish you well on keeping both bands together simultaneously. I look forward to the Alter Bridge DVD, a new album and a 2010 tour.. We’ll also see Creed on tour in 2009. Again, thank you for keeping two spectacular bands together.

This is extremely GREAT news! When I heard that Creed was going to get back together, although it was good to hear, I feared Alter Bridge would be no more. Although I have always counted Creed as one of my all-time favorite bands (I’m 52 years old), after having been at two of your concerts, I easily say Alter Bridge by far took it a notch higher. I still feel that “Blackbird” is one of the best DVD/Albums of all time. I was very disappointed at the thought of Alter Bridge breaking up and this news is indeed very GOOD!

Hello Alter Bridge,
The only thing that really concerns me is that maybe in the future, Alter Bridge may just as suddenly break up as Creed reunited now. I just hope Alter Bridge will remain the top priority forever and Creed won’t get the better of you.

Alter Bridge is awesome man! You guys might not have sold as many albums as you did when you were in Creed but Alter Bridge just sounds so much better than Creed. I was a huge fan of Creed, but Alter Bridge is definitely my favorite band right now. It’s pretty weird saying all of this because Creed is essentially Alter Bridge (laughs). Whatever you guys do, I’m glad Alter Bridge isn’t going anywhere. God bless and rock on! = )

thank god that alterbridge is the priority. There is no comparison when it comes to myles kennedy and scott stapp. Myles can smoke him when it comes to his voice as well as his musicianship. I know that on a musician talented level the rest of the guys in alterbridge know this. and i am so glad that you guys brought back brian. That alone goes to show the ultimate fuck you that scott gave to the rest of the group creed when he decided to let him go. Notice i said the group not the band. A band like alterbridge is a team effort. Creed is a one man sided bullshit concept. I only hope that the shit has been straightened out for this money reunion tour. I am sure that when the guys in alterbridge start playing with scott again they will be saying to themselves
Man this guy sucks. Alter bridge lives on. I understand the politics that come with the label wanting you guys to sell more hits. If that is the case then deliver more watch over you type songs in ther vain of catchy or should i say radio friendly. And i am not saying just slow songs either. If you take a look at the radio friendly songs that alterbridge has written they are ten times better that anything creed has done. The ironic thing is when creed was together i used to always say man! i love the music instrumentation . everything about the band i love except the singer. I could not stand his voice much less his ego. Hopefully his ego has been deflated due to the reality that the band proved that the real talent was mark tremonty, scott phillips, and brian marshall. you guys rock and thank you for the kick ass music. To put the compliment into reality is this. I am 39 years old. for the last ten years i only found myself going back in time buying cd’s never buying anything new that bands were doing. never. When Creed broke up I was lost depressed but when Alter Bride was born I became a fan right away and loved the music as much as Creed when Blackbird came I was sorry to say glad creed broke up because Miles to me is the best vocalist in the biz and what he brings to Alter Bridge with Mark Scott and Brian is something very special that I feel is better then Creed ever had I am happy about the reunion and I am going to see Creed twice but when the tour is over I want to see more Alter Bridge music ASAP I need more from AB, Alter Bridge FOREVER I expect new Alter Bridge music in 2010 and a long tour from Alter Bridge, Creed was great but Alter bridge I live for AB music helps me get through life so please ALTER BRIDGE FOREVER

This morning, I found out after lots of what i thought was rumours that creed are re-uniting. As much as i was excited and happy to hear this I also felt upset and a bit down thinking, “Is this the end of Alter Bridge?”
Alter bridge are my favourite band and my biggest influence. I never thought i’d become a hardcore fan of anything but i think i can safely say that I’m a hardcore Alter Bridger!!!
I hope Alter Bridge stay together!

I saw an interview with Mark and Myles one time and they said it is so hard to make a living in the music industry. They wenrt on to say that they were barely making money on touring and what not. I truely believe that the only reason to reunitie with Creed is to make money and hopefully use it to further Alter Bridge. I want to believe that and I do believe that. Im torn because I care nothing for Creed and have absolutly no interest in seeing them but in a werid way if I knew my money was going to further Alter Bridge, I would make sure every venue sold out. Please guys, do what you got to do and come back to Alter Bridge Quickly. Myles, Brian, Mark and Scott is the only combination needed. Cant wait for Myles solo record.

Mark Tremonti being in Creed is what brought me to Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge brought me to Myles & got Brian back where he belongs. I will support the Creed reunion tour & album, but take this money & put it back into more Alter Bridge music. The quality, passion & chemistry of the song “Blackbird” is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life. I need much more of this from you guys please. I do understand that money makes the world go round & this is a tough economy for everyone. It’s to bad that the masses have not caught on to A.B. & it’s amazing music & brotherhood. Thanks for all the great music & keeping us in the loop about all of this. I can’t wait for the new A.B. DVD to arrive so I can get thru my summer.

When The buzz began about there being a break-up, I tought that the end of by far the best sound I have ever heard was taking place. I have done nothing but listen to all of your CDs for the last six months since I lost my family and they have given me the energy to move forward. As of right now, “Wayward One’s” is my favorite song with a close second being “Blackbird” You guys make the best music. As long as you guys are together, I am a fan.

Look, its like this to me. Creed was undoubtedly an amazing band. I really dont care for Stapp and I never really have. Mark Tremonti, you are one of the greatest guitarists ever. Period. No if ands or but’s about it. Its factual. I stumbled across Alter Bridge when I was googling what the remaining musicians from Creed were doing. Thats when I found Alter Bridge. Look, Im not some bullshit 13 year old fan trying to water shit down…Im 27 but….I absolutely love Alter Bridge. The music is just amazing. I have turned soooo many of my friends on to your music. We all really enjoy it. The mix of melody/metal/rock/alternative is relentless. Myles Kennedy is fuckin awesome. Period. Again, factual statements. Your music is a part of me. Im so connected to it. I think you guys are alot different from all the bullshit thats going around today. Please dont ever stop making music. Every single one of you are very honorable men. And very honorable musicians. All the interviews Ive seen…each and every one of you are very humbled and gracious despite the massive successes of your careers. Trust me..it shows. I wish you guys luck with Creed. Regardless of what happens or who says what…Im a fan. Be what you are. Stay true to yourself. Yes, I am a fan. Although Im a MUCH bigger fan of Alter Bridge…I wish you guys luck. By the way…the song, ” Buried Alive” helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. It was one of few motivational “things” that helped me. Music has always been in my soul. Thanks for clearing that up. I was a bit afraid. I took a look at Creed’s MySpace randomly today and saw tour dates. Then I looked it up and saw that it was real. I got a little scared that AB might possibly be breaking up. I honestly wish that Creed and Alter Bridge could both exist, because both bands have been in my top 5 favorites since I ever heard a Mark Tremonti riff. I wish you guys good luck and kudos to you all for becoming friends again and deciding to create more music together. Tell Scott, I welcome him back to my ears with open arms.

Please what ever you all do please release another CD. I can’t tell you what your music has done for me and has meant to me. I went through something really bad in my life when Blackbird was released an that CD is all that got me through my tough time. It meant so much to me I had the album cover tattooed on my leg so I would never forget what your music did for my life at that time. I was already a fan from your theme song that WWE wrestler Edge uses anyway, so when Blackbird came out I was just blown away! Whatever the haters of Creed/Alter Bridge might say, I don’t care. I love both Creed and Alter Bridge. Mark, Scott, and Brian are awesome no doubt. Vocal-wise, I love both Scott and Myles. It’d be awesome to do a ‘hybrid’ concert/tour/album like what Chester B of Linkin Park did for Fort Minor who sang with Mike Shinoda on Where’d You Go on a Fort Minor Tour. Honestly I think it’d would be a very sweet treat for the fans. I cannot wait for the upcoming Creed album, and I am as excited for the 2010 Alter Bridge album. The Alter Bridge album release would be a sweet graduation present for me : ) Cannot wait!

Its great news hearing that Alterbridge will not spilt up. With regards to Creed I had not previously listened to any of their music, as when I first took interest in Alterbridge, I was just so much into their music as the lyrics are inspiring and the music is so solid and strong and Myles vocally is always I think very consistent. I recently did take interest in Creed and purchased their 3 albums. I thought that although not as vocally strong as Myles, I did think that Scott Stapp is quite an accomplished singer and is a really good singer. I don’t think that all Creed songs are great musically, as some are better than others but I take nothing away from that band as more songs than not, are really good. Alterbridge lyrically, and musically are a better band than Creed and there is no mistaking that, but at the same time Creed are very much an exceptional talent and I read on a website called musicradar.com of an interview a few months ago were Mark Tremonti talks about not only the Creed reunion, but the future of Creed also. He said “It’s baby steps for Creed,” “We’re going to see how we make it through this album and tour, although we’re not looking at this as a one-off; we would like to make Creed an ongoing band once again. It would be the best of both worlds if Creed continued just as Alterbridge are and I think if Creed push themselves, work harder and be more creative lyrically and musically stronger more than before, then it could well be a new beginning for Creed, in building on their previous success. It remains to be seen within their new album, but if it is the kind of album that is their best to date, then who knows how bigger and better Creed will become. I don’t think they have yet peaked their best, but with their new album that may happen. I look forward to a new album Alterbridge album of which I am excited about and I have no doubt that it will be another great rock album. What I love about Alterbridge is the solidarity and strength of the music, through different styles and sounds, that inspires me everytime time and the lyrics are always meaningful and Myles is such an inspiring vocalist and their is no limit to what he can do. To both Alterbridge and Creed, I wish you guys all the best and may your future be always prosperous and keep it real, keep it true and keep rocking on! Look forward to seeing you guys on tour.

Just a quick note of encouragement. I’ve been a musician for a long time now, at 38. Friends seem to find that I am just “too” picky about what music i like. Even I agree that all music is to be thankful for …but I can’t help but like the very narrow vein of music that I do like. I don’t mean narrow in terms of styles. I like many “styles”, but it just has to be well done!! I say all that to say this …..it is simply amazing, to me, that Alter Bridge has hit a musical / aural nerve with me. As i pour over “Blackbird”, for example, I just can’t find anything I don’t like. I don’t mean to over-analyze, and I am not. It just hits home with me in so many ways. It is very rare that a band comes along with that type of chemistry. Words hardly describe it …but “thank you” for it.

I live in England - my introduction to Creed was on a late night rock show that I used to record on a VCR. When Alter Bridge fomed I was blown away and started hunting down Mayfield Four albums on the internet and I was not disappointed. For all I enjoyed Human Clay at the time I don’t think that two Creed albums, any two Creed albums can compare with One Day Remains and Blackbird. Bring Creed to England and I’ll be tempted to buy a ticket - come here as Alter Bridge and there is no question! I wish you all well but Alter Bridge will always mean more to me, technically, lyrically, vocally and, well, personally. I will never forget Myles playing the intro to the Beatles’ Blackbird in Newcastle and the mild confusion on the faces of the kiddies on the floor! I look forward to the third record and hope to see you all soon!!

I have been thinking about his whole Creed thing for a while now and all the interviews I have seen, Mark Tremonti has implied that Alter Bridge need the reunion to stay afloat. OK. So it’s happening and there’s pretty much nothing us Alter Bridge fans can do about it. Mssrs Tremonti, Marshall and Phillips are rejoining with Mr Stapp for one of those, ‘It’s not about the money-but actually it is’ reunions and we are left thinking, OMG, what the hell do we do now? We adore Alter Bridge, is this the end? SOMEBODY SAVE ME! Well. Take a minute, relax and take a deep breath. When you think about it, Alter Bridge is Myles Kennedy and Myles Kennedy is Alter Bridge. Without him we are left with three quarters of Creed. So it begs the question, Do we have anything to fear? The answer is NO. Revisit the Mayfield Four and be elevated by songs like ‘Believe’. I mean, the guitars in that song are like two complete lung fulls of clean mountain air! Listen to ‘Sick and Wrong’. Yes, that is some porn at the beginning of the song and Myles is dirty and sexually magnetic and alluringly filthy! ‘And He Begat A song of Lust, And It Was Gooood!’. Go back and listen to what Myles was doing before he blessed Alter Bridge with his presence. Whatever happens and wherever he goes, Myles Kennedy will always be awesome. It doesn’t matter where he sings or who he sings with. We love Myles Kennedy for his passion, his supernatural pipes and his GEETAR genius and his phenomenal talent. So, go on Mssrs Tremonti, Marshall and Phillips, have your reunion and sell out some arenas and make lots of cash and hope that it doesn’t all go tits up again, because we will forgive you and we will always love you and we will welcome you back when you finally realise that the only place you belong, and the only place you truly shine is standing behind Myles Kennedy as he ROCKS his fine Ass off for us! I was a Credd fan before it all went to the wall and I thank Mssrs Tremonti, Marshall and Phillips for not giving up and for bringing us Alter Bridge. They will always be the best band and with Myles out front, there will never be any band better. It’s not always about the money. It’s about the passion and the belief and the utter dedication to a sound that truly moves people.

Weak. What happened to Mark setting the record straight in Guitar World saying Creed will Never Ever happen again? Alterbridge is about 100x better than Creed. Unfortunately I bet it has to do with money. Didn’t Mark use his own funds to buy Alterbridge out of Wind-up? I’m glad to hear CREED is reuniting however I’d hope that maybe there may be a best of both world’s collaboration in the future. That way everyone is happy and all of CREED/ALTERBRIDGE can rock!Tremonti is dope on the guitar, phillips is a drumming wizard, marshall is a deep end demon, and with Stapps gravely voice and Kennedy’s range you could do so much! I am so glad that Alterbridge will live on after the Creed tour this summer. You guys are my release and sanity keeper in the past year and a half. I crank up one of your songs and get lost in the guitar and drums and everything becomes better. Life throws crap in your lap, but your music makes it easier to deal with. Looking forward to seeing you in 2010. I and will be catching the Creed show on 8/16/09 in Jersey. I truly mean it guys you are today premier rock group. Too bad more people don’t “Open Thier Eyes”

I thought that Mark said that the only way that Creed would ever reunite was if he was to gain many millions of dollars. I guess that finally happened. Well, I love Alter Bridge and if I have to put up with another Creed album for Alter Bridge to stay together then so be it! But, I can’t imagine what Scott Stapp can accomplish with three of rocks greatest musicians that Myles Kennedy can’t! I mean come on, Myles can outsing Stapp any day! I guess you guys took some pity on Stapp and decided to make him some big money before sending on his way again. I imagine the constant phone calls from Stapp wore you guys down finally huh? Well, Please don’t let Alter Bridge break up. Blackbird is an album that means a lot to me, and I want to thank you guys for it. Man you guys got a good scare out of me. I just can’t go back and to Staps again. He has lost his edge and I thought the rest of you guys were going to take down the ship with him.. I watched a special on tv last night from Pittsberg or Philly , whichever, and Scott was horrible, fat and no drive whats so ever. I was truely dissapionted. Guys, thanks for great music. I’m a new fan and I have to say that I wish I would have known about you sooner. Alter Bridge and Creed are both phenominal bands and I’m really excited we are able to enjoy the opportunity of new music from both. In fact, at some point in the future, if you guys did a combined tour that would be immense. Maybe when you’re in your 40s or something and both Miles and Stapp have mellowed too much for their to be any possibility of tension! I’ve seen Alter Bridge live in Glasgow. It was one of the best concerts of my life. Next time though, play one of your own songs instead of an AC/DC cover! There’s too many good ones.

I’ve been a passionate Creed fan since the late 90’s and i was pretty devasted when i heard about Creed breaking up in 2004. I felt that the band was only getting better with each album and that the sky was the limit for them, but the pain was softened with the creation of Alter Bridge. As soon as i heard Open Your Eyes, i knew that good rock music was still going to be made on this earth. I was very happy to hear that Creed was reforming and going to make a new album, but i also feared that it was going to be the end of Alter Bridge. To now know that both bands are staying together and creating more amazing music is a “have our cake and eat it” moment if there ever was one. To me, there is no difference between Creed and Alter Bridge. The music that Mark, Brian and Scott make in both bands is equally mind blowing and sends chills up the spine. The only obvious difference is the voices of Myles and Scott. I think both voices suit both bands and music perfectly. I personally prefer Myles voice just because of the higher range, but i’m just so happy that both bands are staying together and will hopefully be creating more incredible music for many years to come. I can’t wait to hear the new album in 2010 and i hope you guys can make it down to Australia. *crosses fingers*

mr. K. just bring out what u do best. never try to become someone else. no one wants to compare u with axl rose. be the hard rock singer that u are. the ballad is simply ruining your image.
