Alter Bridge News 11/30/09
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
Lots of news this week so let’s get started. First, we are happy to announce that all of our International fans can now pre-order our first DVD: Alter Bridge - Live From Amsterdam. You can check out previews by going to our Myspace page at www.myspace.com/alterbridge and watching the embedded videos. You can even click on some of them and watch them on Youtube in HD. The only place our International fans can pre-order the DVD is from Amazon UK. The DVD should play on any player. The release date for our DVD is set for next Monday, December 7th. Now that the business is out of the way we can get to the information. Myles recently posted on his Blog about his solo project and the upcoming “Alter Bridge III” writing session. You can read his blog entitled: “I’m in the studio making my record”, on his Myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/myleskennedyofficial.
Mark also posted a message to his fans on the www.fret12.com forums. He talks about what he has been up to recently. Please feel free to sign up and participate in the community there. Many musicians have joined the fold, so to speak.
Lastly, Mark recently did a long, honest interview with www.ultimate-guitar.com that encompasses everything that has occured in the last year entitled: “I Always Want to Create Music and Do the Best I Can”. We’re all looking forward to next week, when Myles, fresh from recording his solo project, comes down to Florida (and Brian comes up from Costa Rica) and we can all continue the writing process on our third album. We’ll be working on that until the holiday season arrives, at which point we will spend some time with our families. We’ll keep you updated once the writing process continues, next week.
Oh, and we saw a request from Activision to have our song “Ties That Bind” used on a downloadable package for the upcoming video game, Guitar Hero 6, so look for that in the future.

THANK YOU! I just let out a sigh of relief after seeing Creed was back together. I was concerned that AB broke up. I must say you guys, along with Sevendust are my two favorite bands out there. Not a creed fan at all. I find Scott S unbearable (sorry, just my opinion). But AB’s music is moving, adrenaline pumping and thought provoking. With all the crappy music that has been coming out, it’s great to see the few good bands still making great music!
I look forward to you guys playing upstate NY soon!

Already got the DVD and it is great. So glad you guys are still together. I was really happy to see Creed get back together ( went to jones beach this summer. great show) But I was really afraid Alter bridge broke up. You guys are amazing. Please don’t ever stop making music.

Hey ive been an Alter Bridge fan like for ever, I cant wait until the third album comes out it will be sweet. Ahh… I wish you guys would release some songs for Rock Band, I honestly can’t stand Guitar hero… Not to mention I’d want to be able to sing and play drums as well! I want the full AB experience.

I’m so happy that you guys can expess your music genius in your side projects and come back as Alter Bridge when time allows you too. i was going across the videos from your concerts on youtube, i honestly think you should do a secret, bonus track and have it be Kashmir, cant believe it was 4 years ago at the Download Festival but i think everyone would enjoy that ! cant wait for the new record i think i have watched live in amsterdam at least 4 or 5 times a week introducing more and more people to your music

Funny. A couple of weeks after ordering the R1 version (and hoping for the best) the announcement about an R2 is posted. Not that I’m bothered, my Xbox isn’t phased at all and has been playing me the awesome DTS mix for the past week!!! Look forward to seeing AB in the UK next autumn, sorry fall, Newcastle upon Tyne, don’t forget to bring Logan!!

The DVD is awesome. Wish I could have seen it in person. I have one request to the band though…Can you put “New Way to Live” on AB3. That song is becoming one of my favorite songs and it’s frustrating that I can only hear it while watching the DVD. Maybe the AB Nation posts enough requests; the guys might consider this a track for the new album.

I can’t tell how this makes me happy!!! I’ve been visiting this site since my boyfrien told me about Alter Bridge, just when Blackbird was released, looking foward to the new album, and to know that it’s on the way, and very soon I’ll get to know the new songs, makes me so happy!!
