Hard at Work Writing the New Album (with photo)
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
We just wanted to check in and let you know that the writing sessions for our third album have been coming along amazingly, so far. We feel that we have five songs that are "album ready" at this point, and we are in the process of figuring out several more. In fact, there are many song ideas we have yet to touch on. So, all in all, we are very happy with the progress thus far. We plan on writing through the weekend, at which point we will halt things to spend time with our families over the Holiday Season. After New Year's Day, we plan to get right back into Mark's studio to continue writing.
Speaking of the Holiday Season, we would like to highlight all of our products that would make great gifts and that will help spread the word about Alter Bridge. The best place to start is our first two albums, One Day Remains and Blackbird, which you should be able to get just about anywhere that sells CD's. Digitally, they are available on iTunes but we will include Amazon.com links for those of you who just want regular MP3's.

I hope AB reads this. I bought The AB DVD. It was truly amazing! I held back from purchasing the new Creed CD. I just did not want to support Scott. I tried to hold back from purchaseing the creed DVD that just came out. But because the AB DVD was so amazing I broke down and bought the Creed DVD. I just wanted to see everyone but Scott. I got to tell you. ALter Bridge truly is the best. The songs are better, Myles is amazing! and the rawness of the AB DVD makes it so much more Rock N Roll. hey just wanted to say u guys are THEE best band that has ever been placed on the earth n u guys create the best music, i surely am moved n touched by every song uve made, i feel like every song relates to some point in my life….i just feel the music, its an awesome vibe u guys put out….Open Your Eyes is my all-time fav song, i mean tremonti’s solo is astonishing haha n myles voice just a voice of an angel haha love u guys my fav band in the world n im so excited for the new album n myles solo album comin out….ive been tuning in to ur website every couple days to check updates…..even tho i have no idea what will be on the next album i know itll be amazing….n to further support u guys i bought the creed cd n disagreein with the one guy, i have all the respect in the world for scott hes an amazing singer n everything n i think everyone should find it in their heart to forgive him as i have…..but things happen for a reason n thank god 4 AB haha u guys rock thw world n show everyone what music is truly about…..i really hope to see you guys live in concert in the near future so hopefully u make it somewhere near north dakota haha….u guys have a very merry christmas n a happy new year u guys deserve a break after another successful year

You guys are unbelievable. I love this project. Blackbird is the best album to come out in the last 25 years, bar none. Thanks for always being there to help me rock out; no matter how nuts life gets - the music of Alter Bridge always makes me feel better. Hope to meet you all someday. I have to say that you guys are the Led Zeppelin of the 2000’s. Myles has the best voice and range ive ever heard. I had the chance to meet Mark once in a restaurant in Florida he was the coolest dude. Im glad to see you guys writing the third album. The first two albums are amazing. Mark your playing gets better and better every time i listen to you, I did buy the new creed only for mark and scott and brians playing. Myles Scott Stapp doesnt even deserve to play with these guys. I’m really excited about this new album. I loved the Blackbird album so much, and I was worried that there wasn’t going to be a follow up for a second. I was originally told from a friend of Eric Friedman (Creeds touring guitarist) that Alter Bridge was done, but I think I’m starting to put my fears to rest now. Just heard that Creed got back together so it is great to ear that you guys are working on a new album.
Love Creed and just got a first listen from the site. I think the album (songs I heard) is great, but Alter Bridge Rocks mutch harder (close to Metal), so please continue your work as Alter Bridge (Also Myles voice is the greatest!).

Good to see ya’ll are getting everything together for the new album.. I have been a fan from Creed to Alterbridge all around.. Creed was my favorite band and was upset to see it stop when it did.. and was excited to find out that ya’ll got back together to produce alterbridge.. and it has been a great success… but to now have Creed back and Alterbridge continue as well is awesome.. you are all extremely talanted individuals as well as a group whether in referance to Creed or Alterbridge..
in referance to all these people who want to put down scott stapp… get over it already.. everyone falls down the wrong path sometime in their life.. he staightened up and is a better person now.. if the other guys can forgive and move on then why can’t everyone else.. plus alterbridge and creed are not nor was it ever meant to be anything alike.. they are two different bands.. not the same with two singers.. different sound and style.. so stop comparing them as one.. scott has he’s sond and myles has his.. and they fit thier respected bands perfectly.. and they both are great singers.. so find something else to bitch about!!

Always liked Creed, but I love Alter Bridge! I cannot wait to see them live. I heard them play in Sarnia Canada a few years ago. Didn’t make it into the outdoor show in time. Hey boys hope your haveing a safe holiday. I got as a birthday present the ab live in amsterdam and i love every min of it so far. For christmas i got the Mark Tremonti guitar dvd to help me and my 13 year old with playing the guitar.So needless to say alter bridge is a big part of my life i listin to blackbird when ever i want to creative and just want to play hard. I listin to both albums when i was in iraq proteching ur troops as a fire fighter. I bought Blackbird Album earlier this year and i have to say you guys just blew me away I havn,t felt this strongly about any band for twenty years.
You could be bigger than gun,s and roses were. You have everything including great commercially viable songs without losing any musical integrity. I immediately went out and bought one day remains and was just as if not more impressed. I then bought both tab books for both albums and have just bought dvd. Absolutely awesome. I’m an italian guy who saw you in Alcatraz, and goddam i wish to play with mark and sing with miles at soundceck, and i was so impressed that after that concert there was a period wich i check out the differences between CREED and ALTER BRIDGE (sorry, but it’s reality)…i was corius… and that’s what i find out:
CREED was a post grunge with metal influences, but the songs were flat except a little part of them, but selled a lot cuz you got the cards (and I thought let you be the puppets of the producers and in your situation i did the same, knowing i can travel the world, play all the istruments i dream, making always sald out in all the places i’m going to play and don’t forget the groopies) , but ALTER BRIDGE got a talent that make a new kinda music ever listened! for “hard rock” musician you’re like BEETHOVEN!!… miles got a talent that kick asses, tremonti too, everybody do that in ALTER BRIDGE
you know in Italy even you’ve the talent or the right person, you can not do 0.01% of what you’re doing… (maybe it’s possible if you play ramazzotti, pausini o bocelli)
so don’t stop, do the style you want ‘cuz i think you got the gots to be on the top (my opinion is that musically and tecnically you are yet in this music period) and you can receive the economy gratification you deserve (miles expecially

Sounds like you are about half way there, can’t wait to hear it. Picked up the Tremonti fret 12 DVD good job with that too, almost made my fingers bleed with legatos last night!
