Alter Bridge III Update With More Myles/Slash News
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
We wanted to let you know we are back at work on the Pre-production today for “Alter Bridge III” after taking a break over the weekend to re-charge. If all goes according to plan, we will begin recording, starting with the drums, in Miami in about a week.We also wanted to make you aware that a new article went up on Blabbermouth stating that Slash has tracked a guitar solo for Myles’ solo project (which Myles announced in his own blog last week) and it also includes a quote from Mark regarding the interest in Myles from other artists. We would like to make it clear, in case there is some confusion with all the different projects we have going on, that Myles will not begin the Slash Tour until we are finished recording Alter Bridge III. Myles will then return from the Slash Tour before October, when we plan to go out on tour again, starting in Europe and the UK.
In the meanwhile, we are trying to make the best album we can so we better get back to it. We’ll let you know when recording officially begins and any other new news that may pop up so check back.

I went to school with Myles at Mead JR. High School. He was just as cool of a dude back then as he is now. People should check out another band he was in called Citizen Swing. It was a local band in Spokane, Wa. I t really shows you his musical talents and diversity.

Alter Bridge is truly a gifted band. You are a real band, you have that quality that everyone strives to have but very few ever find.
I believe you should concentrate on this band. Ya it is cool to do side projects with all these famous incredible people and tour with your hugely successful other band, but this is the real deal. Concentrate 100% on AB and make it the best you can and this band will go down in history.

I hope there’s a “Come to Life”, “Buried Alive”, “One by One”, and “Ties that Bind” type of feel. “Buried Alive” is such a blast to listen to and play-that brilliant intro with the cool chord progression and metal blusey solo,heavy grooving verse, soaring chorus, and blitzkrieg bridge-I love it!
