Alter Bridge III Recording Update (With Photos)
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
The recording process is moving forward and we could not be more excited about the songs that we are creating. Flip has finished all of his drum tracking and Brian will be finished recording all of his bass tracks by the end of this evening. Then, starting this weekend, Mark and Myles will begin recording guitars.
Our fearless manager, Steve Wood, snapped a few photos while down here in Miami and we thought that we would share them with you. First up, a view from the air of where we are recording.
Here are the how the drums were set up before Flip started recording…

Mark finally begins to rock. (Sorry about it being a bit blurry. Steve may have been shaking with excitement)…
And Myles gets completely surprised…
That is all we have got for now. Very few people have heard the songs we are working on (not even our record label) and we are very proud of what we are creating. The word used most to describe what we are creating is dark. We can not wait to unleash our songs on the world later this year. And… we have received word that our tour in October will begin in the UK. We will update you further as more news comes in and also keep you up to date on the recording process so check back soon.

Nobody’s got the total package in the Rock World like Alter Bridge. You guys are stellar-its sad America hasn’t received the music like the UK has. Jazz artists who are top talent have always went to Europe to make it happen so this is no different. I like creative, skillful Rock as well as jazz and blues. Let me just say i am just amazed with everything you four produce. I was a huge fan of Creed from the age of five, and am now equally addicted to the sound you guys have. Hi guys from Alter Bridge.
I speak from Venezuela, was a big surprise for me to know one summer afternoon by an old friend whom loves to rock out with me, their songs are for my food every day when I wake up I hear “In Loving Memory”, this song makes me feel alive every minute of my life, passing by here to wish you great success in his career, going boy, will they come to Venezuela, there are a great audience that looks forward and wanting to bust the floor with you. I’m not foolish enough to say that I expect a record like the 2 above but if anything I’m pretty sure this album is that we will notice a great evolution of the band, this old bridge gradually being renovated. Thank you for your attention, and success for you guys to everyone around him.

Yay! THANK GOD, you’re coming back…I was so worried for a while. Your music is gorgeous. I first heard “In Loving Memory” on a YouTube video after Heath Ledger died, while I was stuck in bed after another major surgery that had me ~very~ down. I was so blown away that I had someone buy and bring both albums to me! I found hope in your lyrics and still do…and of course, the music is awesome - love that dark!!. It probably sounds overly dramatic, but your music *truly inspired me back into living life fully again*. I will always be a grateful fan and look forward to all your future work. Can’t wait for the album to come out! I’m a huge fan of yours and i think you guys rock. Every time i listen to Broken Wings i get chills down my spine and the way that Mark plays guitar is brilliant, pure perfection with Myles’ voice. I live in Romania(land of Dracula
) and we do have a summer festival(SoniSphere) at which a lot of artists are expected to play. Maybe i’ll get really really lucky and you guys will attend also. Anyway i’m just glad you’re putting out a new album for all your adoring fans xoxo

Anticipating a great album from Alter Bridge and I’m excited about it. Counting each days. Please make it quick because I’m not alone in the waiting list. Myles you are the best vocalist in today’s world according to me and your vocal suits best with AB. Mark, you are such a great icon for young generation and for the musicians. This entire band is simply perfect. Even my 10 years younger brother mastered each of the alter bridge tracks and now he is hungry for more to cover AB||| on his guitar.
