Alter Bridge III Recording Update 03/03/10 (With Photos)
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
We are proud to announce that drum and bass tracking on our third album is now complete. The next phase is the recording of the guitars, which Mark and Myles began on Monday. The songs are shaping up really well and we are looking forward to unleashing them on the world later this year. We do not want to talk too much about the songs now, as they are still in the formative process. But know this… the four of us are creating these songs exactly the way we want with absolute freedom. And only the best of the best of the 17 songs we record will make the album.
We also want to let you know that Slash recently did an interview where he talks about Myles and the upcoming summer tour they will be doing together. The big news is that Slash revealed that they will be playing a few of our songs on tour, along with a song or two from Myles’ upcoming solo project along with some old GNR tunes so you will not want to miss it. Thanx for the frequent updates! They calm and excite at the same time. This is the most i’ve looked forward to an album ever! …saw a PRS Tremonti SE in a shop the other day. Cant wait to play some ‘Sound and the Story’ on one of those! Rock on!

The suspense is killing me already argh! One Day Remains and Blackbird are Superbly awesome that one can’t actually say any track is the least favorite because each song has a life and character of its own but at the same time uniquely Alter Bridge’s. Course I loved the stuff you guys have done with your other bands (no names…ha-ha) but you have really opened up to some awesome music in this band that is far better than could ever imagined! When I first heard “Rise Up” on the radio a couple of years back, I jumped up out of bed and waited for the D.J. to announce who the artist was because I knew when I first heard the track that whoever the artists were, they were badass and they were bound to get a huge amount of airplay. I listen to all of your material all of the time…the guitar tracks are smokin’ and Myle’s vocal work is off the hook. Can’t wait for your third album.

Hey Alterbridge. Don’t foget Oz when you start booking tour dates…….September works well for me? I was at your Brisbane Oz concert in which you smashed it (as did POD and Disturbed). I hope you have not lost your ballistic Heavy Metal riffs in the new one!!!! MT is the man.
