The Recording of Our Third Album is Finished
Hello Alter Bridge Nation,
We are pleased to inform you that the recording of our third album has been completed. It was an amazing journey and we believe that the songs that we have created are our most inspired and dynamic work to date. We all worked very hard on these songs, over a long period of time, and we are all fiercely proud of what we have recorded. We have played some of the rough mixes of the songs to a few of our “trusted ears” and they are telling us that we have absolutely topped the Blackbird album. The true test will come when we get to hear what all you fans think and we are very much looking forward to that day.
The next step in the process will be mixing, which will begin in mid-April, in New York. The mixing will probably take a few weeks and once that is finished, we will begin the difficult task of deciding which songs will make the album. The goal is to release the album in September, before our planned October tour in Europe that will start in the UK. Stay tuned here for the latest news and updates as they happen.

AWESOME! Been waiting for this news since you guys first mentioned that you were working on a new album. I know the album is going to be incredible and if you’ve already let some trusting ears hear it and they say it tops Blackbird….then I’m so ready to rock out to more Alter Bride. Just wish you’d release the album sometime in August (the month I was born) instead. Both One Day Remains and Blackbird were released in August just a couple days within my birthday….awesome birthday gifts! But if it’s gotta be September, I can wait. Great news! Can’t believe it will have been three years since blackbird when this is released. Both of your albums have slowly proceed to grow on me to the point where i love nearly every song, and consider them overall masterpieces. Your music has brought me great listening pleasure over the past few years. And yes, it will be tough to top blackbird, or ODR for that matter. I am thrilled to hear that you have recorded a new album. I wondered after the silence following Blackbird and the regroup for Creed that Alter Bridge was over. As you can guess I heard many rumors. I enjoyed Blackbird but your first album is still my favorite and my wife and I still enjoy it today. If you can top that record, then wow! Though far off in my horizon, I certainly hope that we can see you live and hope you’ll make it to Houston TX so we can catch the show. I was so ecstatic to hear the Creed thing would not interfere with the real band here. It just sucks i’m going to be deployed in Afghanistan before it comes out, which means i’m going to miss any tour too.DAMN IT ALL!!!!. i cant wait to have it sent to me. YES!!!!!!!!!! with the incredible talent in Alter Bridge I am totally confident this is an absolute reality. You guys are amazing artists.
I know how B-Sides are approached with some reservations within the industry but Iv’e followed you guys since the beginning. Arguably, I can speak for most diehards when I say-PUT AS MANY TRACKS ON THIS LATEST SONIC MASTERPIECE as humanly possible. Nothing tops Alter Bridge in Rock music. Nothing. You guys can probablly guess that all us diehard fans would love to buy a box set of every original track you guys compose that don’t make the studio releases one day. I hope that day arrives sooner rather than later.

Awesome to hear that the album is finished being recorded. You guys are amazing and I am psyched for the new material. Mark Tremonti has been my guitar idol since I picked up a guitar years ago and it has been amazing to see him progress through the years…the guy never finds a ceiling in his playing and that inspires me to keep pushing through in all my playing. AB is the best rock band playing today and I cant wait for you guys to come to Utah and rock out!

Hey there Myles, Mark, Brian and Flip!! This is awesome news to hear that you are releasing a third album!! Of course, I became a fan with Creed. After the split with Scott Stapp, I was bummed. But then you joined with Myles as Alter Bridge. I love the four of you guys together. When Full Circle came out with Scott, I was happy yet sad, thinking Alter Bridge was no more. Blackbird is one of my top five albums of all time and I cant wait to hear some new material.
